We stayed up a bit too late drinking wine with our friends last night. Not that late, it's all relative! I felt a bit sluggish though. As everyone had to go to work, we were out of the house pretty early.

After yesterday's experience, we took a little more care planning today's route. We used cycle.travel again, but forced it to follow the available national cycle routes. This made for a very scenic ride through the Surrey Hills......albeit on a lot of unsurfaced bridleways! Definitely should have paid closer attention to that! But actually, most of it was pretty good. A few bits of pushing and very very slow. But so much better!! With many hills.....

We're staying with friends again tonight, in Guildford. The luxury of these arrangements is considerable after 3 months' camping!!
